Jersey Pinball Association – Spring 2010 Season is Starting!

// // No Comments » // Events, Leagues, Pinball, Tournaments

The Jersey Pinball Association is beginning a new season of competitive pinball play this Wednesday, March 10. Among the games available are: Star Trek: The Next Generation, Whitewater, Demolition Man, Monster Bash, Fish Tales, FunHouse, The Addams Family, Star Wars: Episode One, and Attack from Mars. Along with traditional league play, there will be another side tournament in the style of “Pinball Golf” where you have up to ten balls to reach a target score. Each entry builds up a cash jackpot which I will award at the end of the season. PinGolf replaces the Gauntlet from last year. I hope that many players, from inside and outside of the JPA League, will try to qualify for the PinGolf Final so that there will be a huge jackpot prize pool.

Read more about it here.

JPA Gauntlet Tournament T-shirt

// // No Comments » // Events, Pinball, Tournaments

Presenting… the official Jersey Pinball Association Gauntlet Tournament T-shirt. The tournament sponsors will each receive one of these shirts at the beginning of the Spring 2010 league season. I would like to take time to congratulate the winners of the JPA Gauntlet tournaments: Andrew Drabik – winner of the Spring 2009 tournament, and Jim Fordham – winner of the Fall 2009 tournament. I also would like to thank those players who sponsored the tournament: Koi Morris, Jim Fordham and Ed Zeltmann. Next season there will most likely be a PinGolf style tournament in addition to traditional league play. I’m looking forward to next season’s competition. For those of you who are interested, the Jersey Pinball Association meets on Wednesdays for 10 weeks in the Spring and in the Fall. The next season will begin in early March, and new players are always welcome.

Calling All NJ (Tri-State Area) Pinball Players!

// // 1 Comment » // News, Pinball, Tournaments

Eight on the Break in Dunellen, New Jersey will hold the New Jersey Pinball Open on August 9th, 2008.

The following is from Brian Smith of P3 Tournaments:

Come join us for a full days worth of pinball tournament fun at Eight
on the Break.   This is a great opportunity to practice before PAPA
the weekend after.

This format will be very similar to the tournaments we run in
Allentown and Rochester.  There is a time period set aside for
qualifying and then a final double elimination round.

Eight on the Break is a fun arcade full of pinball machines, video
games, pool tables and includes a great snack bar.   Admission is FREE
and tournament registration is only $5.  All games will be on coin
drop.   Price for each tournament entry is $10 per attempt.

Prizes?  What I didn’t mention the prizes yet.    We will be giving
away a Gottlieb Pinball Pool Pinball Machine or $500 cash to the top
winner!    Total prize pool will be around $800.    A great way to pay
for that trip to PAPA!

Registration is NOW OPEN and we recommend everyone pre-register
online.  We have a limited number of registrations open and pre-
registering reserves your spot in the tournament.  Plus it is very
important for planning reasons.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again at Eight on the Break this
summer and look for the Monthly Masters which will be returning in
September.

So come on out, if you are in the Jersey area, for some intense pinball competition.
