KOZ’s World Record?
Sep 5th

I think it may be time to get Twin Galaxies on the phone for this one. This is an AMAZING Destroy the Ring time.
KOZ’s comments:
In a nutshell… from the ring feed… Gandalf, Legolas, Merry, Aragorn… then… I nutted the ring and it blew right through the magnet and triggered the switch!!! Ring DESTROYED!!!I completed the 4 shots so quickly ( 2 shots being hit on the fly off clean made shots, so you can imagine the speed ) once the ball was returning from Aragorn I had some adrenaline and really blasted the shot…Right at completion, I knew I had to have put up what is probably the quickest time even possible as the whole thing just happened at warp 9 and the ball blowing past the magnet. I am convinced that it would take at least another second or two to “slam-plunge” the ball to even attempt a 2nd ring shot on the fly from the left flipper. It all couldn’t have happened quicker and I would have a very hard time believing anyone could do it within a couple seconds of this tme having to deal with a 2nd ball being launched.… I am sure this record will have an asterisk next to it and I am fine with that.![]()
Hey, don’t worry about the asterisk. No matter what anyone says, you still had to hit those home runs… I’d still vote you into the hall of fame. ^_^
New JPA League Champion!
May 27th
After reigning for 1 1/2 years (3 league seasons) as the champion of the Jersey Pinball Association, I will have to give up my title to another great player, Jim Fordham. He was victorious in the League Final, 22-17, to win the league championship. He has set a goal for himself to qualify for next year’s IFPA World Championships. With his excellent finishes in Pinferno 3 and the Allentown Open, he is well on his way. I’m going to have to step up my game if I want to claim the New Jersey State Championship at July’s New Jersey Pinball Open. Congratulations to you, Jim. You are wearing the target now. Wear it with pride because we are all gunning for you.
As a side note, Jim is also starting new pinball website and forum. I will not post the link here yet because his site is still in beta. However, once it is officially live, you will know about it here.

Bowen Kerins Reviews Attack from Mars
Dec 29th
World Pinball Champion Bowen Kerins gives a detailed analysis of the pinball game “Attack from Mars” by Midway/WMS. He points out efficient ways to score high and play well especially on a tournament mode machine.
I hope that articles like this will give rise to an advanced version of the “Pinball 101″ DVD that would cover tournament pinball strategies. It worked for poker, why not pinball?
