Rez was released today on XBLA. It’s a shooter that puts you in a virtual computer-like world in a battle against viruses. This game was a sleeper hit for the Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 and copies of the game were VERY hard to find so it’s great that it’s out for download. The innovative thing about Rez was that you essentially created your own soundtrack as you’re playing. (Rez was allegedly quoted as saying: “LUMINES, I am your father!”) Each enemy, lock-on, shot and kill makes a sound in time to the beat. Download it now for 800 M$ points ($10.00). If for some reason you didn’t like this game, or thought it was weird, or didn’t like the techno music, it’s because you suck. Now, for those of you that don’t suck, enjoy as Fun With Bonus celebrates the release of Rez for the XBLA with the Original Soundtrack, “Rez Game Sound Data”.

This deal is just too amazing to pass up. If you’re a shmup fan and you have a 360 or plan on getting one you should definitely pick this up. Hey it’s only 10 bucks. That’s the price of an XBOX 360 Live Arcade download!
It’s also $9.99 at Best Buy! I just scarfed it up today! Even if the game is halfway decent, it only cost TEN dollars!

You may have noticed an addition to the header of this website. It’s a section of the site’s new logo. It seems that everyone has to have a logo, so here’s mine. Since I’m interested in a variety of gaming activities it was difficult to create one logo to represent them. So, I’m using a sort of amalgamation of them. The “sonicmario” head represents the time that this site was sonicmario.com (and it still is as a matter of fact: sonicmario.com bounces to –> funwithbonus.com). The yellow in the swirl is my favorite color 
. The twelve pinballs represent my fondness for pinball competition (pinball all day!, or pinball ’round the clock), and the symbols in the pinballs are from Galaga to respect the shmups [ Shmups all day too! 
] Finally the overall red, white, and blue color scheme … USA, USA, USA!
