Who is Doctor Billion you may ask? Well, I guess that’s me. World class pinball player Ed Zeltman [EDZ] called me that after my first Billion score on Spider-Man. I like that nickname. So much so that I went ahead and registered DoctorBillion.com and DrBillion.com. The domains just point back to this site for now.Anyway, thanks to KOZ’s advice, this time I actually completed Super Hero mode. After hitting Sandman about 10 times to finish Super Hero Level 4, a ball is added and the ONLY thing lit is Spider Sense. Rolling through Spider Sense ONCE Completes Super Hero. For finishing Super Hero, you win 250,000,000 points, and ALL shots are doubled for the rest of the ball. (JOY!!!)

The Jersey Pinball Association is starting up the eighteenth season of it’s pinball league this coming Wednesday night, September 5th at 8 on the Break, Dunellen, NJ. Pinball players of all skill levels are welcome to compete. Currently at the Break are: Spider-Man, World Poker Tour, Monster Bash, Family Guy, Cirqus Voltaire, Lord of the Rings, Medieval Madness, and Ripley’s Believe it or Not.

Billion at the Break!Super Hero Total was 122 million+
Multiplier was “68x, DOUBLE BONUS”

Here is what happened (as far as I can remember).

At the start of Super Hero mode, all of the red arrows were lit for 2.5 Million. I had brought forward a 2x multiplier on the left loop/spinner [making it worth 5 Million] and a 3x multiplier on the right ramp [battle royale JP ramp, worth 7.5 Million] You get a generous ball saver at the start.

After completing the red arrows, a ball is added, you get more ball saver time, all of the villains are lit plus all of the white arrows are lit. All of the villains are worth 3 Million times your shot multiplier. I THINK the white arrows are also worth 3 Million times shot multipliers also though I wasn’t able to look at the display so I’m not sure. I KNOW that if you complete the white arrows, a ball is added. You have to hurry to finish the white arrows because white arrow shots that you have completed will RELIGHT as time passes.

After completing the Villains [by The way, Dock OCK and Sandman MOVE up and down constantly so it's harder to shoot them], The red arrows relight for 3.5 Million[?] times shot multipliers.

Here’s where the problem happens…

After finishing the white arrows to add a ball and completing the 3.5 Million[?] red arrows, ONLY Sandman is lit for 4 Million per shot and thats it. No more red or white arrows. He wasn’t moving up and down anymore so I took some relatively safe Sandman shots. I collected the 4 Million from Sandman several times and then, when my Sandman shots started bouncing off and heading dangerously down the middle of the playfield, I reverted back to a safer strategy where I just focused on getting more and more multipliers.

This mode may still be incomplete since the issue has got to be in the software, now that I’ve seen the same thing happen on two different machines. It makes me wonder how some top players are getting two Super Heroes in one game. They must be getting to Super Hero on ball 1 [or 2], then draining, then getting another Super Hero on ball 2 [or 3].

I just received word from Koz Pinlicious ( …there is no spoon.), that the next objective is to shoot Sandman at least 10 times or so to advance to the next level of Super Hero. This is great news to me because it gives me even more to look forward to. I can’t wait to try Super Hero mode again! [SSB] [NLP]
